Welcome to Dina & Subhash's Bollywood Bash Wedding in Portugal!
Being a UK Asian Wedding Photographer occasionally you have couples time to time who go big, and I mean really big! It was such a delight when Dina & Subhash inquired about their South-Asian Wedding. Although the wonderful couple were based in the UK, they wanted to have an international Indian Wedding across Europe and escape the cooler climates of England during the month of September, where they as well as their close hundred family and friends flew to Portugal down south for an amazing 3-day wedding bender including the Haldi, Sangeet, Wedding, Reception and to top it all off a Pool Party to wash down the hangover from the night before!

ps - if you don't have either the groom's men ripping off the groom's shirt, wearing intellectual property underwear, or getting lifted and thrown into the ocean after the ceremony, you're not doing your Haldi right.

The Location/Set Up:
What better way to enjoy your sangeet with delicious canapés from the view of Tivoli Marina's 2nd floor outdoor bar area overlooking the resort riding into the sunset!
A sangeet isn't a sangeet without bollywood performances, a great DJ (@djsubz), an entertaining MC, couple photos and drinks/great food of course, but what was really beautiful aside from the couple and their own adorable moments, was the fact that the sangeet ranged from traditional cultural/religious rituals to fun activities/games encouraging both sides of the family to get to really know one another making it all the more special and intimate! Wedding Venue Set up (Rooftop)
The weather was sunny, bright, airy and perfect for an Indian Wedding! The set up/planning and details were done by @details.eventplanning. The team were incredibly organised, super friendly and had put together this gorgeous luxurious Mandap! Here's a photo of Subhash doing a cheeky runner passed the brides maids to enter the Mandap
And here's a photo of a wardrobe malfunction showing what happens when you attempt to do that, whilst being tackled by a bunch of boys from the brides side.
The Dhol player was @tiagomanuelsoares one of the very few Dhol players in Portugal. He rocked the groom's entrance and got everyone involved, highly recommend!

The Reception was straight after the wedding, so after a few hours of rituals and customs it was time to officially party! Before the reception, the bride and groom joined me for a pre-reception photoshoot by the Tivoli Marina Vilamoura beach to catch Golden hour!
The Reception venue was incredibly stunning with an amazing flowing water fountain that ran through the reception. The ambient was vibrant and colourful as was the festivities! The formalities were so much fun to capture and all the performances were so well choreographed!

Pool Party (Recovery/Party on)
After a 2 day back to back Bollywood Wedding, what better way to relax and kick back then by hosting a pool party for those still standing! The Tivoli Marina Vilamoura Algarve Resort also had a private section for outdoor pool events! Dj Subz hit us with some amazing beats, food was amazing, and let's not forget the coconut drinks & Shisha! All in all, an incredible way to end a jammed pack 2 day Indian Wedding bender in Portugal.

who did it better?
Being an international/destination Fine-Art South-Asian Wedding/Editorial Photographer based in the UK, I've shot many Weddings around the world, though this one will be one for the mem's.
There are couples I meet that are clients, but then there are couples I meet that become truely wonderful friends. Dina & Subhash, I will forever remember this wonderful Portugal Indian Wedding adventure, thank you for having me.
